the act of sharing and creating on the net
so. my first blog post. ive mostly been a web surfer and lurker for most of my life on the net. im not one to constantly create and share. but recently, considering what's happening in the Info Tech world, and growing more aware as a person, i feel an obligation to contribute to the better net space.
it has also been getting easier(it depends) to start and continue such endeavours. but despite having such a simple blogging platform, i hesitated. i waited. i procrastinated. whatever you wanna call it. i struggled. a lot of things were in the way, some other things that i wanted to do; there were just more things than time.
sigh. it happened again. even this blog took me two times to write. i just didn't have enough time the first time, and had to cut off and continue just now. what was i writing about again?
my point is, just create something you want. then, just share something you have created. even if you think it's insignificant. just think of the times you come across something on the internet only once for some odd purpose, and it happened to be your answer. your interest. the scratch for your itch. even if it's just one person, it proved its existence, it served its purpose. the message went through, and that's a success. uhm. am i being too much rn?
here's something to keep in mind though. your first visitor may come in a few days. it may have been a bot though. your first reader may come in a few weeks. they might not find what they're looking for, though. your first reader, who might email you, may come. 10. years. later. just as we are all finding archives, dead forums, and internet artifacts many years later, arent you glad, that it is posted, shared in the first place?
don't keep it all to yourself, maybe. just share it if you want to, no matter how small you think it is.
